CFMU
HMI (Central Flow Management Unit Human Machine Interface)
In the frame of the development of the next generation
of applications, Eurocontrol-CFMU (Central Flow Management Unit) has selected
LuciadMap™
for developing the Human Machine Interface software.
Eurocontrol-CFMU is currently developing the ETFMS system (Enhanced Tactical
Flow Management System) and is upgrading the IFPS (Initial Flight Plan
Processing Systems), RPL (Repetitive Flight Plan), and ENV (Environment)
Systems. LuciadMap™
will be the basis for a common HMI (Human Machine Interface) for these
systems.

Skyview
SkyView is an aeronautical data consultation and
viewing support tool for planning purposes. SkyView II is being used at
the EUROCONTROL Agency, the Agency stakeholders and any other user of
the ECAC airspace.
SkyView II is the successor of SkyView I. SkyView I has grown its user
base to 250 clients (internal and external). The SkyView II environment
will consist of a mixed application, partly as a local client application
and partly as Internet based. The Internet will be used as a support system
for early delivery of static data updates.
LuciadMap™
has been selected by Eurocontrol for the development of Skyview II. Main
benefits of LuciadMap™
for the deployment of Skyview include:
- Full support of precise geodetic calculations
- High-performant display and combination of static
and dynamic data
- On-the-fly access of data from different data-sources
(no pre-transformation of data needed)
- Real-time update of data

SPICE
LuciadMap™
is currently being used to build the next release of SPICE. SPICE is a
graphical data preparation utility for STANS, a Simulation facility of
a Total Air Navigation System.
LuciadMap™
provides support for the decoding and encoding of CFMU (Central Flow Management
Unit) data stored in a relational database and ASCII-files, and the textual
and graphical editing of airways, traffic, sectors and way-points. LuciadMap™
has been chosen over other products for its precise editing of geodetic
lines, areas and points. In addition, LuciadMap™
satisfied the requirement to run on both Linux and Windows NT.
