The Luciad AIXM 5 Viewer is based on the LuciadLightspeed technology and offers a complete toolkit for AIXM 5 data handling, helping you deal with the richness and complexity of the format.

Luciad helped launch the world’s first commercially available AIXM 5 technology after Eurocontrol and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) agreed upon the new standard. Luciad technology handles AIXM 5 data for systems including Eurocontrol Digital NOTAM trials, the FAA Special Use Airspace project, FAA AIXM Reference viewer and various operational systems.

A powerful free tool with many uses

Visualize AIXM 5.0 and AIXM 5.1 data in 2D and 3D. After loading any compliant AIXM 5 document you can see the data mapped onto a virtual earth and navigate through the wide set of properties of AIXM 5 features. You can use the AIXM 5 Viewer to compare multiple features, play back the state of data at concrete time positions exploring the extensive AIXM 5 temporality model and verify that available data is compliant with the AIXM 5 standard.

To run the AIXM Viewer, you need a PC with the following specifications:

  • Windows Vista and later (32-bit or 64-bit), Mac OS X 10.9 and later, or Linux (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • 2GB of system memory
  • a recent 3D graphics card (OpenGL 3.0 compatible graphics card with at least 512MB of video memory)
  • 500MB available hard disk space
